Our Country Inn – The Perfect Destination for Your Vacation in New England

Return to the B&B to find afternoon refreshments awaiting you.  In summer, perhaps there is time for a dip in our heated outdoor pool (open late May - September, weather permitting), a stroll through the gardens, or just relaxing with a book and a cool drink in the Adirondack chairs by the river or in the gazebo.

Toast your feet in front of the welcoming fireplace in the lobby in fall and winter, or perhaps try a challenging Stave Puzzle in the sitting room. If you’ve been hiking or skiing, try our bubbly hot tub in the atrium that overlooks the river. The atrium is built of locally cut and milled hemlock and is a perfect place to relax on a sunny day no matter what the season.

In the evening, there’s time for a lively game of billiards or darts, or perhaps just a warm drink in our cozy gameroom and pub. You’ll also find a selection of videos and DVDs to watch there or in the privacy of your room.

Remembering NH’s Old Man of the Mountain posted on May 3, 2013

continued

It’s hard to believe 10 years have past since we lost this symbol of New Hampshire, though you can still see him throughout the state on road signs, license plates, and souvenirs of the Granite State. The Old Man was made of five layers of Conway granite, and probably was formed by a retreating glacier…
