The Basin
This guest room may be configured as a single guest room or a suite suitable for a family with teenage children. Located on the second floor in the 1893 portion of the main inn, the room was Andrew Harriman’s original bedroom. It has a king sleigh bed and sliding glass doors onto a balcony overlooking the river and mountains. The private bath has a tiled shower with body jets rather than tub/shower combination. When configured as a suite, stairs lead to an upper level providing twin beds for 2 additional people. The cost for a third or fourth guest is $25 per person per night.

The Basin is located in Franconia Notch, not far from the former site of the “Old Man in the Mountain”. Called the “Old Man’s Foot Basin”, it is only .1 mile from the parking area off I-93.
