The Upper Saco Valley Land Trust will present the 5th Annual Art Celebrates Place art exhibit at the Tin Mountain Conservation Center in Albany, New Hampshire from April 4 to May 17, 2014. Plan to make seeing this art show as part of your spring getaway to the White Mountains. The show features works by North Conway area artists celebrating the agricultural heritage of the Mount Washington Valley. Works by Meredith Brooks Abbot, April Costa, J. Gaudreault, Janet Gill, and Carl Owen will be featured.

This year, Art Celebrates Place will highlight the Land Trust’s new conservation easement at Weston’s Rivercroft Farm in Fryeburg, Maine. For seven generations, the Weston Family has provided area residents and restaurants with fresh, locally grown produce. The protection of this family farm helps preserve the area’s rich agricultural resources for future generations of residents and visitors.

A portion of each artwork sold at the exhibit will benefit the Land Trust. The Trust’s mission is to preserve the ecological systems and cultural values of the Upper Saco River Valley. They achieve this mission through stewardship and partnerships for conservation that sustain land for forestry, farming, wildlife habitat, recreation, and scenic enjoyment by future generations. For additional information about the Art Celebrates Place exhibit, contact the Tin Mountain Conservation Center (603-356-9863).
