You’ll declare independence from holiday weekend gridlock on the highways when you come to stay early (on Wednesday, July 2) or stay a day late (Sunday, July 6) and receive a 25% discount on your total four night stay. Cool off in the mountain breezes and enjoy the traditional Independence Day celebrations including parades, BBQs and fireworks. Thursday is a great time to explore Mt. Washington and use your free admission to Great Glen Trails’ walking and hiking trails, or visit some of the regions many waterfalls. July 4, you’ll find parades, food, music and fireworks. Tamworth and Lincoln/Woodstock host day long festivals, and North Conway’s celebration includes a weekend-long craft fair and fireworks display on Friday at 9:30 pm. You can plan a Loon Cruise on Squam Lake, or try an Evening Lantern Tour at Lost River Gorge. Saturday evening, July 5, Bretton Woods hosts it’s annual Celebration of Freedom with a Barbeque Bash, live music, and a fireworks display over the Presidentials. Right here in Jackson, fireworks are planned for 9 pm Saturday as well. You can stroll over to the village from the Inn for a classic New England celebration. J-Town Deli & Country store will be open during the festivities, and the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce and Fire Department will host concessions. After all the celebrations, Sunday will be a great day to just relax by the river and go for a swim at Jackson Falls or in our heated pool!
