Since it is the 25th anniversary celebration, the Inn at Ellis River is hosting an Anniversary Ball where Pumpkinella charms her Prince Pumpkin. Like many of our guests who love to return to the inn again and again, some pumpkin people from past years have come back too, and are celebrating at this gala event. It wouldn’t be October without Fiona, our favorite Maid! She’s on duty passing out champagne at the ball. Remember one year when Fiona had to bring extra pillows to the Princess who could feel a little pumpkin under all those mattresses? She and her Prince are now King and Queen, reigning over the ball. Then there was the year of Fionarella, when she hoped her prince would come. She tried on the glass slipper while her jealous stepsisters and her stepmother watched in dismay. The stepmother and stepsisters have returned to dance again, still hoping that Prince Pumpkin’s heart can be won. The Prince seems to have eyes only for his Pumpkinella, but thankfully there is a gallant noble willing to dance with the stepsister. The chandelier twinkles and the dance goes on until October 21, so be sure to come to this gala ball!
